Fused steel handle protects the vise by bending before the vise gets overstressed. Machined steel main screw features rolled 2-start acme thread for smoother operation and greater wear-resistance. All load-bearing surfaces fully machined. Replaceable internal SG nut takes load, secures, and aligns main screw. Safety stops designed to prevent the slide from accidentally separating from the body. Lip on the back of the body guides fragments and filings away from the slide.
