LOCTITE® SI 596 is a red, 1-part, flowable smooth, acetoxy silicone paste sealant. It forms a tough, flexible, waterproof, oil-resistant silicone rubber bond. Suggested Applications: Valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings, transmission pans. It is also used as a sealant and adhesive in industrial furnaces, ovens, boilers, exhaust stacks, high temperature ducting and heating elements in electrical appliances. Formulated for oxygen sensor equipped engines. Typically used in applications with an operating range of -50°C to +250°C. Resists ageing, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.
