Inner cavity sealed to prevent contaminants from passing to wire harness. Non-corrosive housing: resists magnesium chloride, salt, oils, grease, and fuels. Extended front barrel for additional cable support, slanted 5° for moisture drain. Unbreakable housing and lid, with stainless steel hinge pin and spring. Meets SAE J560 specifications. Split brass pins for superior conductivity. For added protection against moisture, use socket boot P/N 15-740. 16-722 and 16-7222 accept No.8 ring terminals. 16-724, and 16-725, and 16-7242 accept .180 bullets. 16-724 and 16-7242 recommended for use with Phillips QCS2™.
