Longer tooth life for production jobs and heavy metal removal . For use with sharpening mill saws, circular saws, machine knives, lathe work, and polishing work where a smooth finish is desired. Bastard cut files are the coarsest files and used for heavy stock removal (models 531506, 531508, 531510, 531512, and 531512). Second cut files have a medium coarseness and are used for intermediate smoothing and finishing work (models 531526, 531528, 531530, and 531532). Smooth cut files have fine coarseness and are used for detailing and fine finishing work (models 531548, 531550, and 531552)
