Metric fasteners, resembling inch fasteners in style and use, require careful identification to avoid mix-ups. They're measured in millimeters, with distinctive head markings, and come in three thread types - ISO Coarse, Fine, and Extra-Fine, commonly used in vehicles. Zinc-plated options offer corrosion resistance, suitable for indoor and industrial settings. The 8.8 class, similar to SAE Grade 5, indicates medium carbon steel fasteners with notable tensile strength, used across construction, automotive, and machinery projects. Thread FT/PT: Full Thread; Threads Per Inc: 0.80; Thread Type: Coarse; Head Type: Hex; Inches/Metric: Metric; Product Base Material: Steel

The zinc coating applied to these bolts serves as a protective barrier against moderate corrosion resistance, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial use.
Quenched and tempered for strength and holding power. Use with Class 8 nuts to develop full strength of the cap screw.
Available in Coarse, Fine and Extra Fine threads with fully threaded or partially threaded lengths. DIN 931 = Partial Thread, DIN 933 = Full Thread.
Made from medium carbon steel similar to SAE Grade 5.
Property Class: 8.8 (nominal tensile strength 800 MPa or about 118,000 p.s.i., similar to SAE Grade 5).
