Hex Head Cap Screws are used to secure an object within or against another object. They are recognized with specific features like tighter tolerances and a chamfered end with a washer face under the head. Yellow zinc plated fasteners have good corrosion resistant qualities and are ideal for indoor and industrial applications. Grade 8 screws, recognized by six radial bars, are made from quenched and double heat-treated medium carbon alloy steel for maximum strength in demanding applications like heavy-duty machinery. Thread FT/PT: Partial Thread; Threads Per Inc: 18; Thread Type: Coarse; Head Type: Hex; Inches/Metric: Imperial; Product Base Material: Steel

The zinc coating applied to these bolts serves as a protective barrier against moderate corrosion resistance, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial use. Yellow zinc finish. Grade 8 is identified with 6 (six) radial bars head markings.

These bolts undergo a heat treatment process consisting of quenching (rapid cooling from a high temperature) and tempering (reheating to a lower temperature and then cooling) to achieve their high strength and toughness. Double heat treated.
Made from medium carbon steel. Grade 8 fasteners are heat treated and are high strength fasteners. Use with Grade 8 nuts and washers to develop full strength of the cap screw.
